Iowa Hunting Land for Sale
The Hunting Cabin
No hunting paradise would be complete without a
place to stay while you are escaping your everyday life. The hunting
cabin also provides numerous options for the out-of-state buyer. The
Iowa DNR defines an Iowa resident as anyone who meets ONE of the
following criteria:
| A. |
Have
a legally-obtained Iowa driver's license or Iowa
non-operator's identification card and have physically
resided in Iowa at least 30 consecutive days immediately before
applying for or purchasing a resident hunting license. |
| B. |
Are
legally registered to vote in Iowa. |
| C. |
Are
a full-time student at an educational institution in Iowa and reside in
Iowa while attending the educational institution. |
| D. |
Are
a nonresident under 18 years of age with a parent who is a legal
resident of Iowa. |
| E. |
Are
a member of the armed forces of the United States serving on active
duty and: 1) are stationed in Iowa, or 2) are stationed outside Iowa,
claim residency in Iowa, and have filed an Iowa income tax return as a
resident for the preceding tax year. |
The
hunting cabin is a 1½ story brick home. The cabin is
structurally sound and currently needs no improvements. The cabin had a
new Carrier furnace installed in 2005 and a new water heater installed
in 2006. The cabin is served by a rural water supply, but also has its
own well. The cabin has a large eat-in kitchen, living room, bedroom,
bathroom, and a large fully enclosed porch all located on the 1st
floor. The 2nd floor is a large game room. The game room has a wood
burning stove and serves as an excellent place to tell hunting stories
after a successful day's hunt.
The farm also has a large barn located next to the
house that serves as an excellent place to store small equipment,
ATV's, and supplies.
